Ashley Smith is the Chief Communications Officer at Tower K Group, where she helps nonprofits, philanthropists, and mission-driven organizations shape narratives that influence policy, shift public opinion, and drive action. With more than 15 years of experience in strategic communications, including nearly a decade as a television news producer, Ashley brings a sharp editorial eye and deep storytelling expertise to her work.

Before joining Tower K, Ashley led public affairs and advocacy at INFORMS, the premier international association for analytics and operations research professionals. In that role, she launched media and legislative initiatives that brought complex technical research into national conversations. Her efforts helped elevate data science as a tool for solving real-world problems, connecting experts with journalists, lawmakers, and the public in ways that led to greater understanding and impact.

  

Ashley is known for turning complicated subject matter into accessible, resonant messaging that moves people and shapes policy. She specializes in making technical work visible, valuable, and actionable, whether through op-eds in top-tier outlets, briefings on Capitol Hill, or campaigns that drive grassroots engagement.

Outside of her professional work, Ashley is a certified yoga instructor, wellness advocate, and motivational speaker. She brings the same focus and intention to her personal life as she does to her professional one, believing that purposeful storytelling—like mindful living—can create powerful, lasting change.
